Customize Your Balcony Power Plant - A Few Easy Steps to Save Money

Why Choosing Balcony Power Plant?

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in renewable energy sources as a means to combat climate change and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. One innovative solution that has gained traction is the concept of the Balcony Power Plant. This revolutionary approach allows individuals to harness solar energy right from their balconies, transforming them into small-scale power generation units. Imagine being able to configure and order a solar power system wi th up to 10 kWp (equivalent to 25 solar modules) online, just like assembling a balcony power plant.

It's worth noting that local governments offer subsidies for households that install Balcony Power Plants. In Germany, for example, you could be entitled to a government policy subsidy of up to €500, depending on local policy.

Imagine being able to configure and order a solar power system wi th up to 10 kWp (equivalent to 25 solar panels) online, just like assembling a balcony power plant.

How to Customize Your Own Balcony Power Plant?

We have developed a solution that makes it possible.

Introducing BENY power plant, the modular solar power system that allows you to customize and install it according to your specific needs. Our configurator automatically includes all the necessary accessories such as inverters, cables, and mounting systems (brackets, rails, screws, etc.). You can also choose to add a power storage option, and your solar power system kit will be ready for shipping.

Let us guide you through the two simple steps to create your own solar power system!

With our new configurator, you can design your solar power system to perfectly fit your home. It's not limited to just your roof; you can install it on flat roofs (garage roofs, carports), facades, or in your garden or terrace area.

By taking care of the installation yourself, BENY offers a cost-effective solution. In case you need assistance or have any questions, our customer support is always there to help.

Let's get started and plan your solar power system together!

Step 1: Plan Your Solar Power System

Proper planning is crucial when it comes to a solar power system.

Here are some key tips for solar power system planning:

Determine the installation locations for your solar power system. Apart from the roof, consider flat roofs (garage roofs, carports, etc.), facades (house walls), as well as open spaces in your garden or terrace.

Conduct a structural analysis of your roof, preferably with the assistance of a professional. Your roof should be capable of supporting the weight of the solar power system without any issues.

Divide the desired capacity (in kWp) by the power output of a single module to calculate the optimal number of solar modules for your system.

Allocate approximately two square meters of space per module.

For example, a 4 kWp photovoltaic system would require a total of ten modules, each with a power output of 420 watts, and a (roof) area of at least 20 square meters. If you have a smaller roof but enough free space on your garage roof, you can split your solar power system into two module groups, each consisting of five modules. Please note that we will explain what module groups are and how to configure them later in this article.

Consider that the solar modules bordering the roof edge should have a minimum distance of 50 cm from the edge, ideally double the length of your roof overhang.

Decide whether youwant to include a power storage option in your solar power system. Power storage allows you to store excess energy produced by your solar panels for later use, maximizing your energy independence and reducing reliance on the grid.

Step 2: Installation and Commissioning

With your customized solar power system kit in hand, it's time to install and commission your system.

Here are the installation steps:

Once you get your customized solar power system kit, it's time to install and commission the system.

Below are the installation steps:

Follow the detailed instructions provided by BENY to install the solar module, connect the components and set up the microninverter, which is simply set up in the app.

Ensure that all electrical connections are correct and comply with safety standards.

Once checked successfully, your solar power system is ready to provide clean renewable energy for your home.

By designing your own solar power system with BENY, you not only save on installation costs but also have the satisfaction of being actively involved in the transition to renewable energy. Generating your electricity reduces your carbon footprint and contributes to a sustainable future.
